I would be interested but I am sure I am in Derby that weekend. Bloodstock. Listening and watching Judas Priest celebrating over 50 years in the Business, as it was their 50th year last year, with a host of other Groups. As it is one of the festivals still going on.

Bit like buses, nothing for ages and then they all come together.

Well Les you certainly know how to spoil a chap's fun. Fortunately I won't have to fumigate my troops as they are varnished with a special new anti viral varnish developed by Astrazenica and Newton or was it Windsor-Oxford.

I understand that Martin's now putting a drop of each EMA-approved vaccine in each mould, to confer long-term protection on all newly-produced forces?

Is it Richard Lockwood, Battle Day organiser, you're emailing, Martin?
Martin S.

Hello Martin
Yes that's the chap.

Any thoughts martin?

thanks
martin :)

Martin Smith

From memory, he's not a 'quick response' sort of guy. If you nudge me in a couple of days I can try to rattle the cage from this end....😊. With the level of interest you seem to have it would be a pity if the plan to play BB didn't come to fruition.
Are any of the prospective PP team SoA members, with access to the SoA Forum?

martin goddard

Martin
Thanks for being on this.
Very helpful.

I do not think there are any society members in the prospective group(?).
I was a member in 1974 but that is probably out of date??? :-[

I can let this go without being too upset.
Gaming is in new territory now.

Thanks again

Thanks Martins (x2). I'm quite keen to do this, and have virtually secured my day pass to participate. I may even paint up command stands for each battle, if this would be helpful (I'm unlikely to be able to complete a whole force in the time, but I believe that others are better endowed than me on that front).

I too was an SoA member, but lapsed sometime in the late '90s I think...

If Martin S wouldn't mind rattling cages that would be great - it would be a shame not to do this if we all want to, purely due to slow communications from the organiser.

If it helps I have copious command stands if required as Lance and Longbow Society did Bosworth as a demo game using the old BB back in the day. Not trying to steal your thunder Simon, but if it saves you a job.
I haven't been an SOA member for 20 years or so.

Thanks John - no thunder would be stolen at all.

I generally like to do the rank and file first to get my hand in on a force before doing the command / other special figures in any case, so I could do BB at my own pace when they rise to the top of the list.

I was just feeling guilty about the prospect of turning up empty-handed, but can bring my own dice, my own rules, and maybe lots of chocolate biscuits?

Give me a couple of days, I am on dodgy Internet here in the wilds of Kent. I'll see what I can do Thursday plus....

Simon don't feel guilty, you can carry my scenery box in from the car.
