Martin,

We spoke ages ago about this via email and I was wondering if you gave anymore thought to doing some not Afghans (or Hill Tribesmen as you referred to them as)?

Hello Todd

Yes indeed.
I have done quite a bit of research and pre work for Afghan troops.
This has even included work on which Honda motorcycle too. Probably a CD 175 type.

The problem is one of time though.
I had better not make any promises as my sculpting years are limited.

It is there on the plannng board though Todd.  Fingers crossed.

Which era are you talking about. I immediately thought of Victorian, but I don't remember many Hondas featuring in those days. Or was that how they beat the British? Sneaky.

I am sure they had Hondas as early as 1780?  Better buy a new book.  That Honda propaganda. >:(

The Afghans would be an opponent for the USMC and others in the AK range John.

PS on the "plan board" the 3rd phase of Montagnards (MIKE, SOG et al)  are before those poor Afghans.

;D ;D

That's great news Martin. I can completely understand how time factors in, and I can only hold out hope that this reaches fruition at some point. Well... hoping they get done BEFORE you pack it in. And I'm too old to paint them.  :-\

The Montagnards sound interesting. Perhaps you should join up at my community Fields of Fire and promote that.  ;)

That's the kind of Hill Tribes I've been waiting for, Martin! While appreciating that you have your hands full at the moment with MexRev of course. Lucky I've got plenty of other stuff still to get on with :)

That's the spirit Col. I have enough to keep me busy as well, but it won't stop me from keeping one eye out for previews at some point.

Those afghans could be used against the Soviets in the 80s too.  ;D
