I think we need a significant victory award model. This should be a suitably important headless noble kneeling on a block, with his head in a basket and the axeman with his axe in the depressed position. Or the axeman could be holding the head up triumphantly.

I like the idea of being to create vignettes for special bases like generals

Yes it is - great for 450 through to 1850 (thinking Mex-Am War there). I use them for Dark Ages through to Italian Wars. Of course, there are some excellent figures in the PP Dark Age range. There is a soldier holding a head Bloody Barons pack 29.
