More Greenstuff Conversions

More converted figures for 1945 Spring Awakening. Beginning to hate the sight of Greenstuff.   I made 30 or so figures up to match the KSTN so thought I would need about 27 but now after researching the most sturmgewehr that any one company sized unit had was 13 so I might paint a couple up in the white reversible suit and then do a couple of mix and match in oakleaf B Green variant which also existed.  Work In progress and the wash has just gone on the first five.

Very nice indeed. I know the feeling on how much hard work goes into what you are doing. But the “End Result” when you have them on the table afterwards is what matters. When you know you have something on the table that is slightly unique to what others have brought ? That is what always keeps me going.

Thinned paint and a brush with a good point. Don't keep "dotting" as that damages the tip, refresh the paint load every couple of dots.  And try and do the dots in small groups. That way if you make a mistake you can fix it quickly.

For my USMC I use a toothpick as the patterns are larger

@Traffic, Yes I use loads of cut in half toothpicks some for painting and some for applying glue. Although I have a stiff cut down cheap brush for doing dots, I do find picks are better.

They are very good conversions, you have far more talent than me.

One of wargaming group uses a sewing needle for dotting and I've seen my daughter use a rounded metal applicator to paint her nails, I'll have to take a closer look and ask her about it.

Living in what was the Delfzijl Pocket in 1945 I find these Late War photos very interesting.
