I am using a nail varnish shaker to shake up my Vallejo dropper bottles. Photos on the blog.

Interesting, I may buy my wife one of those.
Thank you and best wishes,

I posted a little reply on your blog. This seems to be a great tool. Vallejo does recommend rolling the paint and not shaking it, but shaking seems to be the universal method used.

Thanks, I think rolling, which probably also warms the bottle would be fine for those paints used everyday or the ones that don’t separate too much, but For some ....... the big guns need to be brought out :-)

I believe that some painters buy ball bearings to put within the paint pots.

I do that, Martin - 2 balls per bottle. But I find that even this doesn't work well for some colours (particularlysome browns and greens, for some reason), so have been following the automated shaker discussion with interest!

If it's too hard, I can't do it.
