From the poor Vietnamese perspective it might just have seemed like one long one, but with changing opposition: Japanese,  French, US / Australia / New Zealand/ Korea etc. / each other...

I thought I'd get this special issue for motivation as I think I'll do some more MOCB stuff once my Crete toys are done.

I think there might have been 4 Sean in the 20 century, and many more going back into ancient times.

The WSS issue looks to have 3 or 4 articles on the "American War", with another that will presumably focus on Dien Bien Phu. Here's the "feature" list:

Well my copy arrived in the post today. On balance I was a little underwhelmed. There are some nice pictures of models but the historic photos included are largely already widely published. Most of the Vietnam articles are focused on a specific game scenario, with rather more on the game elements than on the history for my taste.

On the positive side, Peter Pig's range gets the highest assessment of "Complete"; there is a good article on making jungle from plastic plants (he's even found paint that seems to stick) and there's also some nice eye candy from Olav Haraldssin's last battle in the early 11th century!
