The next (#111) issue of WSS will be focused on the various 20th-century wars in Vietnam:

I've pre-ordered, to save some money. And used my voucher from having completed the Wargames Survery to save even more  ;)

Good point, Sean.

From the poor Vietnamese perspective it might just have seemed like one long one, but with changing opposition: Japanese,  French, US / Australia / New Zealand/ Korea etc. / each other...

I thought I'd get this special issue for motivation as I think I'll do some more MOCB stuff once my Crete toys are done.

I think there might have been 4 Sean in the 20 century, and many more going back into ancient times.

Actually, I believe 10 is the right answer: https://www.holidify.com/pages/wars-in-vietnam-1379.html

This is a good quiz question. :)

Wow - that's even worse than I'd thought.

The WSS issue looks to have 3 or 4 articles on the "American War", with another that will presumably focus on Dien Bien Phu. Here's the "feature" list:

Warwick Kinrade and Piers Brand, 'Gaming wars in Vietnam during the modern era - Tour of duty'.
Gerry Miller, 'Marcel Bigeard in French Indochina - Para, you're born to die'.
Paul Eaglestone, 'The Battle of Long Tan, 18 August 1966 - The kangaroo shoot'.
Eoghan Kelly, 'The Battle for Saigon Racetrack, 31 January 1968 - A day at the races'.
Guy Bowers, 'Vietnam War forces on the tabletop - The only war we had'.
Rubén Torregrosa, 'North Vietnamese soldiers on patrol - Rumble in the jungle'

We can expect at least a mention to PP Vietnam Rules and range in the coming issue.
