Unit Scale
« on: October 03, 2020, 12:29:18 AM »
Hi, in the Reloaded rules, it states that 1 vehicle represents 3 and 3 infantry bases a platoon.  Could this also be assumed for the 'classic' rules as well?

Many thanks,

Howard

Hello Howard
That seems entirely reasonable.
This means that each figure, gun, model represents 3 real ones.
The scale makes the game psychologically more of a battle  as opposed to a skirmish.

Martin, thanks for the confirmation.

Just working on an idea at the moment, building on an old article by Dominic Skelton.

So in that case a Warsaw Pact Cold War Armoured unit could be made up of:

Tank Battalion

HQ 1 tank or Apc

3 Companies of 3 Platoon of 3 Tanks

Motor Rifle Battalion

HQ 1 Apc

3 Companies of 3 platoons 3 x APC (+ Infantry bases inc up to 3 RPG)

1 Battery: 2 x mortars, APC tow

Recce Battalion

HQ  1 Armoured Car

2 platoons of 2 tanks

2 platoons of 2 Armoured Cars

1 platoon Infantry
