I for one would hope for a number of the Neville family to put in an appearance.

A post-battle head-on-the-block vignette may also be called for...?

Simon

A second vote for a Neville or two, and throw in some Percy's too.
That should stoke the old rivalries in the north!

Best thing about some of them is they fought on both sides so they can fight against themselves.

No more bearded ones though please Martin. If you were up on your late 15th century fashion you would know that beards were right out. I'd also second Oxford, Percies and Nevilles. Could do one or two slightly more rotund figures. After all some of these chaps were past their prime.
Cheers

Those 15th Century photographers have a lot to answer for:

Is it possible that shaven looked good in portraits, but in reality there were beards due to difficulty in getting a shave whilst on campaign?

Just a thought?

I also am very impressed with the character packs. I am quite happy to see some bearded characters. After all the fashion now is to have a massive bushy beard, yet I  am currently wearing a Napoleon III style goatee. I do not see myself as a JEB Stuart. I must admit that the variety of figures  within the WOR range now is quite stunning.

Thought I would open this thread again as a lot more character packs have arrived on the scene. I feel they have been a little overshadowed by the release of all the Mexican packs lately. I think these new packs are stunning, with some absolutely exquisite armour detail. They will also allow me to put appropriately correct commanders to historical scenarios whilst the units can remain generic. These characters, plus the already existing generals mounted, on foot and as casualties will produce a wide variety of command bases. Generic units are created using the Peter Pig generic standards and, where appropriate, painting single or two-coloured livery coats without badges.

Spot-on, Andy. Although I have sometimes been a bit cheeky and put the new WOTR figures in front of the MexRev ones on the Forum News banner.

I can envisage a WOTR force in which there are almost as many historically represented command stands as there are of generic combatants. Si "Traffic" has been showing the way on this front in this thread: https://rulesforcommonman.uk/index.php?topic=2563.0

I have to agree that this is a fascinating period, have enjoyed a few games with Martin and Ben. Have not taken the plunge yet, maybe next year?

Have been watching the series 'Medieval Dead', very interesting and shows how barbaric these battle really were. The skeletons of the dead really show damage from battle, one episode shows how the feet of some infantry were completely  severed in one blow.  The presenter is the guy who found the body pit at Towton.

Glad they are popular chaps!
There will be some more in the future, along with some WOTR figures too.
