Terrific pictures. Particularly loved the standards (but then I'm biased).

When putting together "historical" forces and having a budget I tried to get most bang for my buck and look for common livery where possible.  So I came up with this for the earlier period.  A couple of errors and a lot of unknowns still. Plus I had Andrew Trollope down as a noble when in fact he was "just" a captain at the time of ludlow

Great looking figures, especially like the command bases

A great set of photos. Those figures look really good together.
Thanks for posting them.

Traffic,
That's lovely work, and great inspiration.
I too like the neat command bases in particular.
The livery table is helpful. I have also been toying with the idea of multiple command bases for a given livery combination, to give options.
It's a period that can really come to life with all the known commanders and their flags / banners / standards (John W can correct my terminology!), particularly withh all the lovely sheets that Freezywater produces (in addition to their erudite publications, of course).

Fantastic work.  Lovely painting.  I absolutely love the period and in-fighting.  Some fascinating characters.  Who needs Game of Thrones?

The school I work at launches it's Tudor topic in January with a Bosworth afternoon for Year 6.  They get me in as 'Period Specialist'.

This year will be the fourth year I've done it.  The kids absolutely love it.

I start with setting the scene of the R3's death, conjuring up the desperate nature of him fighting on foot.  Talk about Polearms etc.

Then we look at longbows and weapons in general.  They particularly like the Rondels and Bollock (Kidney) Daggers bit.

Set the scene of the battle with OHP of initial dispositions.  I then talk about how we got there and why.

Finish off with maps of the various stages of the battle.

The week after I spend an afternoon talking about R3's body being found and the forensics.

The kids love it but also myself and any spare staff that are floating turn up too.

Then it's H7, H8 and the rest of the Tudors.

I feel like putting my WOTR stuff in the back of the cupboard now. Great work there, I am envious.

Hi Martin,
Hopefully. Our company offices are in poole and I come down a couple of times a month so can swing by.  I haven't played BB in ages. But I have a load of your new figures on the painting bench.  Once we get out of the Tier system.  Pencil a date in 2022 ?
