Here's a link to a recent RCW game played at the Devon Wargames Group. All figures are PP, although heretically, the rules aren't.

That looks nice.
The Flames of war rail track is very good I think.
Good paint and photo exposure too.
Lovely. :)

Thanks Martin. I agree about the rail track, the QRF stuff looks much better but is too fragile for club gaming. The FoW version is far more practical and certainly good enough. My homemade terrain cloth is preferable to the GW mats, but again, the club has the mats so it's one less item to transport. The stars are the figures though. My painting is pretty average but your sculpts certainly take a wash well.

I like your debriefing very much... I always enjoy reading battle reports like this one.

Just a question : what kind of railways do you use? I am planning to buy and paint a PP train for my RCW red army... But I still don't know what kind of railways to use with it...  :-[

Railway is by  flames of war. They sell it in boxes of about 8 pieces. It is made for the "flames of war hobby" but can probably used by normal people too? ;)

As Martin has noted, they're available from Flames of War although made by Gale Force 9. They're in the 'Battlefield in a box' range. The PP armoured train fits on it fine, partly because you can set the running gear to fit any gauge track you choose.

This is good to know.

Thank you for your answer...

Ironclad also sell railway track and have some nice Eastern Front stations etc in their buildings range.

12mm distance between the tracks

NTM, that's a good spot - Ironclad do some really nice stuff.

Their trench systems and ruins are very nice - I had forgotten about their other stuff.

I spoke to John of Ironclad at Hammerhead last month. I ordered the 15mm trench starter pack, which he's going to send me, it's being redesigned in response to customer feedback. I'm planning to do a review for the Mill when it arrives.

Best wishes,

I'm a big fan of Ironclad owning lots of their buildings and fortifications. Plan to get some trenches and bunkers next.
