I've booked, and will be bringing along my British Western Front force.

Let's see how many Simons we can get along this year, shall we?

3 has been the highest so far ... at that point is was about 25% of the competition.

Ticket bought.

Not sure which army to bring. May look for something different and out of the ordinary.

I'd like to propose we make it a bit more 'out of the book' this year. In so much with the numbers increasing it getting more problematic to set up so many tables. So please consider that you will need to bring your 4 pieces of terrain (or more) and a cloth. There are a lot of nice mats out there now

thanks

Martin makes excellent figures? Who knew?

I'll bring either French or German to balance out the allies and Central powers.

I spoke to Battlefield Hobbies today, and that have an open policy on the pandemic situation. We can certainly leave it a while to see how it goes. There is no danger of losing money etc

Personally I suspect it won’t go ahead, just because as I see it measures will get a lot more draconian. As I see that Games Expo & Partizan are cancelled and they are close to our date

So please bare that in mind

thanks

Thank you for the update, Simon.

The figures we're doing will keep until such time as we can again have open warfare on the tabletop :)

Dang it...it had slipped my mind that SQ Day may be caught up in this.

This will be the most disappointing cancellation for me out of any other gaming related cancellations. But health and welfare obviously come first.

Hopefully an alternative date can be found if the worst happens.

Battlefield Hobbies is now closed for events. The 12 week deadline takes use close up the SB day, so at the moment its looking less likely

Just an another update on this. While nothing has particularly changed around the venue, I've spoken to several folks and they are a little nervous about travelling. Other events later than ours are now being cancelled - Games Expo being the latest (which is in August)

My suspicion is that this most likely won't go ahead. But I'll leave it a few weeks to see what pans out.

At the risk of being deemed a heretic, maybe we could use the RCW slot for the SB Day, as the latter may well have a broader appeal...?

Too far north for me!

Would be better at Poole!

I'm just talking to the venue now - and it looks like its going to be cancelled.

I can just get the refunds - or we can reschedule for 2021 and just transfer the entries to the new date.

The RCW day is still on - 'at the moment'

thanks
