The old Vikings movie staring Kirk Douglas always get me in the Datk Age mode. I know it's crap but still...

But it's a great movie. The castle in which they filmed it is very cool too.

And completely out of period, as are the Saxons and their ships, but the film is an absolute hoot, and the first I ever saw where the scriptwriter must have said, ".... and we're going to maim both the main box office draws!"  . Yes, the castle did make for a great day out in Brittany for me as well.
