This is gaining momentum Stewart
Excellent
11 weeks to go. Needs a countdown?

Miles. The D Day sounds good. Will playing the game fit into one session 1,2,3,4,5,6 or will it need double sized sessions. Double sized sessions might be too big a commitment for players?  Just a thought :)

Interesting, all this talk of tables, where is it proposed to put the hotel tables if you are all bringing your own?

Look forward to Stewarts conclusions on Tuesday.

AK 47. Anybody got any preference on the type of forces they wish to play ? Scenario ?
I would love to play the Nam game on the Saturday night ?
I do want to play at least one game of Western over the weekend? Please ? 2 would be better ?
I would love to be able to play a Pirate Sea Battle game as well ? Over the weekend?

I'm happy to fit in with anything going, but would like to try out Square Bashing (having finally painted my Brits) and I feel somewhat obliged to have at least one game of BB.

I would suggest we have only 1 CWB game, Miles and I are interested in CWB so could run the Saturday afternoon game with anyone else interested. This would free Saturday morning for Miles to do either Western or Pirate Ships. Likewise I'm not sure we need more then one SB game so perhaps drop the Sunday morning game (I fancy the SCW game Sunday morning). Still happy to put on an ancients game Friday night or Saturday morning if there is interest.

Sunday afternoon. Western please.

Big Mike

Guys,
The Vietnam game is based on the PP rules but set up re-fight the Battle of Long Tan. Play-testing is underway for the additional rules to be used and it promises to be a good game. Once we know who will be playing I will have pre-game notes to read.

Late Night Friday
It has become a tradition for those staying overnight to have a late night game of PBI on Friday, including a small glass of Normandy Farmer's Calva.  Miles and Big Mike will bring the set-up between us so anyone can join in on the night.

Happy to try anything. However I am  woefully lacking in knowledge of many of the rules.

Stewart 46A

John that is the idea behind the weekend, try before you buy, but seriously the attendees all like the Peter Pig games, normal the game hosts enjoy that particular game and run a good game whilst taking part.
It's a chance to sample a few different games over the weekend.

The late game. Usual 400 point game on a 4x4 table.
As the theme this year is 1944.
I was going to base it on the Battle of Overloon, which is on the Dutch, German border and on the edge of the American sector. While the British were trying to get up towards Arnhem. The Americans were probing West. The Americans gave way to the 11th Armoured division and the Churchill's of 6th Armoured Brigade got involved.

John, if you don't know the rules well then baggsy I play you first.  :)
It's not about the taking part....... 8)
