We have all just embarked on WOTR version 2.
As an interesting aside how long before the next PBI?
This is not totally serious, in that PBI will most likely NOT be the next set after WOTR. WOTR will fill up the rest of 2019.
More likely to be the solo/same side  PBI project or Early man or SB or something not done by RFCM before; Napoleonics?

How about that collaborative mini-PBI you were discussing a while back, maybe as a lead-in to a full-blown PBI revamp later?

[and hopefully the Square Bashing refresh will be more of a light-touch revamp, as it's so good as it is already...?]

Yes same side PBI is still being worked  upon slowly. I will get it out to folk who are interested in March.

18c linear warfare and grids ... sounds like they go hand in hand .

Just saying

Napoleonics???!!!!!
Wow....How would it look with the PP treatment?  High level, low level, a particular campaign, theatre?
Enquiring minds need to know!
Seriously, I would be very interested in hearing everyone's views on this as I think the discussion would be worthwhile in itself.
Hmmm, there goes my quiet Saturday afternoon....
Best,
Stephen

Napoleonics? Are you mad, man? If Napoleonics are next you'll never see a new figure in any range for... well forever (as Martin would be busy sculpting Grand Duchy of Wherever pre1803 dragoons). That's even before the button counters start moving in here too ;)

I still really like the idea of a Robin Hood game using the Vietnam mechanics....

To be honest PBI only needs a tidy up. Maybe and only maybe a simple (Quick) version supplement. PBI is the Best Platoon/Section game out that can also be played BIG as we proved with Ardennes last year. Compared with the other big WW2 game out there "Battlegroup" PBI plays a lot better and has I feel more going for it.

I know we have Sq Bashing, but a WW1 PBI would be good. Or a least a supplement for it ???
A PDF version is very easy to do ? Can be supplied to the individual nowadays.
Always very handy to have on your Tablet.

Messier Bane🙃, I am retired and moving to the Florida Panhandle and am very keen on getting to know PBI as well as I can.  FOW just doesn't work for me and bolt action seems too random but BA is entertaining.  If you ever find yourself on vacation in or around Panama City Beach by all means do consider giving me a call.  That goes for anyone here.  ANYONE!  The missus is a stellar culinary host, and wine will be available.  Wargaming in the area is a lonely affair.
Regarding PBI Great War, greedily thinking 💭 oh yes my goodness me.  Would love some Austrian/Italian actions in the Salonica Front.  Actually need US troops there too.
I have also heard PBI III is easier to digest, I had problems with PBI II.  I want to get the "company commander" when the move is finalized.
Any more advice mates?
Enjoy the weekend-     ( yay- Yankees ⚾️)

Would love to see Napoleonics given the Peter Pig treatment !! Bolivar ? Colourful and limited  troop types , one can dream

Start with Marlburian you can use some of the pirate government troops and most nations wore similar uniforms.... plus Washington wars as a rule starter 👍

The next PBI will have the introduction of wobbly grids, wobbly roads, and wobbly houses, and no late war / post war tanks and there will be a new system for tracking the company logistics.
