Land games suitable models?

I have two model ships to build for the land games.

I need to decide how to make them pack up into a sensible box. The masts are very tall and waste so much space in the box!  Ho-hum what to do.

One is the now Tiger Terrain model, the other who knows and I have a couple of Green Man small boats to finish as well.

A certain difficulty Les.    Masts are indeed a problem I feel too. There needs to be a compromise between sturdiness and slenderness. I am thinking of using brass wire through plastic??? Another thought might be making the masts a little shorter?
the two i am using will need much millilput.
