Your brain should be "racing" Les.

Yep.

Family visiting this weekend so a bit of a relax.

Articles and reports next week.

Just finished uploading my pictures to TinyPic so report coming over the weekend. Only now have I realised I took too few pictures. Need to make more effort next year.

Clearly not good form - fancy enjoying oneself...

I have been too busy this week to post my pictures, but will hopefully remedy that at the weekend.

Finally some of my photos from last weekend.

First up, Duncan's rather spectacular ECW mega-game in 6mm, using PP rules, of course:

Next, Big Mike's Spanish Civil War game:

including that infamous dice throw:

Stewart's very nice 28mm Rorke's Drift game (sorry that I didn't come back and take more pictures when the building roofs were back on!):

Game 1 of the nearly-there-now Pieces of Eight sea game.

The start, featuring an island and shallows. The merchant fleet in the top right is moving towards the camera to escape off the table, pursued by pirates (far right) as well as an attempted interception by more pirates (bottom left):

Getting a bit messy as the pirates get stuck in. The red pipe-cleaners indicate broadsides having been fired:

More action near the end of the game. The little grey ship outline marks a ship's starting position in each turn, while the Struck marker indicates a ship that has given up the fight:

Game 2 of the sea battle game featured the island again, as well as a shifting fog bank, which added to the fun (ships can't do much when stuck in fog).

The merchants are in line astern, with the pirates attacking from both sides.

The dark blue hex indicates prevailing wind direction: this may be rotated by one hex side on each term, if player throw the appropriate dice.

Happy gamers preparing for the afternoon's games in the dining room:

One of the Pirates land games, featuring Les's lovely pirate figures raiding a village of peace-loving natives (but who gave the invaders a bloody nose in two out of the three games we played):

Great pictures Simon, you got round most games.
