So, here's a question: I am watching John Wayne's "The Train Robbers" (ITV4 for any interested) and, in a close-up of Mr Wayne's gun belt, the rounds of ammunition are very clearly of different lengths (and not just 2 e.g. for rifle and revolver - it seemed much more random).

Does anyone have any idea why that could be?

This could depend on the quality of the armourer.  At the incompetent end, maybe he just did not have enough bullets and chucked  other ones in. At the better end a chap using several guns would have a variety of ammunitions.  Is there a fan page for that film??

There are various blooper / goofs sites, but I've not found anything on this yet...
