Long story sorry -

Recollecting forces and terrain for the SCW I have hit a problem with finding 15mm Spanish buildings.

My first collection back in 2007 used buildings from the Hovels range. This time around I was tempted by some unpainted very nice buildings via eBay, unfortunately it seems the buildings (which feature in photos in the rules) were manufactured by The Drum, who ceased trading and not available to add to what I have. The buildings are tbh small for 15mm but look right and paint up nicely. Question  has anyone with these buildings used them with any other manufacturers? They don't match well with `Hovels given Hovels very rustic look and size difference. I was thinking buildings from the 10mm range from Timecast may work, I am not too keen on printed or MDF. Thanks

Good paint job Nigel. They are lovely buildings indeed.
The last holder of the moulds was SHQ. Meaning that grubby tanks might have those moulds?
An interesting piece of detective challenge.

The old Ian weekley buildings are an OK match. They were held by Magister militum but I have not followed where they are now.
There are probably q quite a lot of compatible 3D buildings on etsy or ebay. In addition those makers will often scale their models to what you want.

Good luck.

Thanks Martin,

I have done lots of work  on printed buildings for 28mm, to give texture etc, there is something about the cast ones from The Drum that sets them aside.

I will keep hunting on line and will order a 10mm one from Timecast to test compatibility. I measured a door on a Drum building and it's the same size as a Timecast 10mm door on a ww2 Russian building I have. Shame a lot of ranges just seem to have gone sales as various business owners retire etc, Surprised PP never made any for the SCW.
