As we approach the half way point of the year  what have you achieved in your hobby life and what are you looking to achieve for the remainder of the year?

Personally I've played quite a lot of AK47 as well as some PBI, PITS and no CK. I've painted 2 forces for Western - US Cavalry and Plains Indians us a Western town. I've manage to tidy up a few  it's and pieces like a Russian church that had lost the little ball from the top of it 'onion' dome. I've also painted some odds and ends for AK47, the AWI and made a start on my slow grow Convenanter army for Regiment of Foote.

For the rest of the year, I'm looking  forward to more games. I'm playing Conquerors and Kings tomorrow night with Ade. I'm also hoping to get down to Weymouth at least one more before the Weekender.

Painting wise I've just picked up my Japanese PBI army. I've got my Civil Guard to paint for Bayonets and Ideology started but not finished. Same for my PBI Italians!

I want to continue to improve my scenery by sprucing up what I have. I also would like a damaged destroyed north west Europe set of buildings for WW1/WW2.

Finally  I've just bought my first none Peter Pig figures in a long while - a Carthaginian army for DBA initially. Ideally I'll paint them then add to them to use in CK.

What about you?

Colonel Kilgore

You are an over-achiever, Sean, and I'm embarrassed by how relatively little I've done...

I have finished my core Saxon Army this year. It got an outing at the SOA battle day and then a trip back to the painting table to tidy things up, notably the basing (I have found that I quite like the 2mm tufts now available).

I have prepared and head-swapped an AK47 force wholly of Professionals for the Wild Geese scenario that Miles and I are working on.

And I've made some explosion markers that I'm fiddling about with at the moment.

Next up (hoping not to tempt fate) before the end of the year are:
 - painting and finishing my Wild Geese force
 - completing a White Star force for MOCB (that's been half-done for too many months)
 - painting a Mountain Tribes force for MOCB (for WWW)
 - some smoke markers - still thinking about the best way to do these
 - time permitting, doing some more Italians to turn my SCW CTV force into one fit for PBI
 - and Miles has inspired me to do a bunch of Partial markers - maybe for next year?

Age is beginning to take its toll.I am finally ready to play an 1866 game I've been preparing for 3 months (thought it would have taken less than 3 weeks). Whilst playing I will be preparing a War of Spanish Succession game, then more 1866, then back to Square Bashing in Belgium.

I've just about finished my AK47 stuff. Effectively enough for two armies. Ramcke's Brigade is done. What's next? I'm not entirely sure. I am trying to get a Plains Indians force done for Western but keep stalling on it. I should do some more ECW stuff, if I can be bothered. I keep promising myself a Russian Civil War army and I want to paint up some aircraft for Big Mike's Target Ahead game. All this means I shall probably paint up even more PBI stuff!

Glad to see that you're as good at focusing as I am, John!

I can be a great procrastinator when I set my mind to it. I can sit and noodle around my hobby room finding anything to do other what I sat down intending to do!

Just doing a load of Partials on 50mm Big washers for several theatres of war and time periods! Desert, Mediterranean, Europe, Jungle. Done Snow at the end of last year and Western/Mexico a couple of years ago !
Next a mainly Western backed African force for Colours game and other AK games in the future !

Good plans Miles. I am looking forward to seeing how the Wild Geese game develops. I'm hoping to get down to Colours, but it is my daughters birthday weekend.
