However, I am using HI2 which does not have the Unadilla.  Any suggestions for the closet equivalent?

It is a 500 ton ship so you can make it equivalent to similar 500 ton ships(Sassacus??)
Guns   1 heavy and 3 mediums/lights. A fast boat, Possibly shallow draught too.

Let me know if you need more info.
I d not think any of the gunboats exist any more (sad face).
