Stewart and I played AK last night.
A nice game.
We felt there were too many bases within units.

The 6 scenery pieces worked well. It actually allowed parts of the table to be cordoned off which is good. It limits vehicle roaming.

The bonus tokens worked fine.
I will make a new edition today.N

I do wonder, when additions are added, if some units get too big (especially militia).

You are right Nick.
The units were getting too big. Not a problem for command . A problem for morale and shooting as it does not hurt big units enough.

I am hoping the new numbers will sort it? The mechanisms are not changing, just the number, which is an easy change.

When I played Martin last Friday, I deliberately took as large an army as I could in terms of the number of bases.

I used Religious Movement and had 3 x 20 bases of militia.

Having said that, currently you can have a single unit of 36 bases of militia if you put all 3 'extra bases' options onto the one unit.

If hit by an artillery or airstrike, they would suffer greatly I think, but in practical terms they are probably too big for the ge we are playing.
