Here is an interesting book.

It is only £20 and has a lot of nice backgrounds.
Do you photograph your stuff with backgrounds, would you?

I am not in the market for this book, but I think the idea is a very good one.
There are other versions for Sci fi etc.

I believe you need to buy an extra licence if you want to use  pictures using this book on your website.  Although I would not buy it if I could not use the pictures I had taken.

I've seen people get good results by putting a suitable Google Image on their computer screen and taking a picture with their figures in front of it. Tricky to do a whole army shot this way but for a few bases it works.

Interesting, but I prefer the long model railway backdrops. For close ups of specific figures I use my plain white lightbox, which I got gboing abain last week.
