Brilliant day had by all, did not all go as expected. Martin has the scores to post.

Thank you Martin for the great location, the wedding suite in the Nothe.

The room had a lot of good lighting even through it was the layer below ground for servicing the guns above, our room had been the engine room in days past.

We had six square bashing tables setup to recreate the first day of the Cambrai battle in 1917. The british commanders were on the outside of the crescent as they had the most troops. The germans on the inside.

The interested players arrived from North of birmingham, reading and Weymouth. It good to meet a number of the members of the forum who had only been names.  Several of us were old gamers who had joined in battle before.

Wardy great that the boys enjoyed their day of gaming.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make the day a success.

Me and Martin are putting on a Cambrai game at Bovington this weekend. On a 5x3 table with a few extra units and tanks for visual effect. We played a game yesterday and it worked. My bad dice rolling and heroic defending by the Germans made it hard work, but broke through in 3 places in the end....
anyone coming please say "hello" and play for a while.
