Sample from Terry wise's Battle books

Here is a scan sample from Terry wise's battle of the 2nd Punic wars book.

The figure photo is very small but they are all Airfix figures from Robin Hood, Britons and Romans  boxes.  Plenty of drawing pin shields and pin spears.
The elephants are Britain Zoo animal "baby elephants".

Newer books like this would be great.

I feel sorry that I missed out on all those early Airfix boxes. There was a certain charm to the relative crudeness of the figures.

We are of course very well served today.
