My first attempt at 15mm hills for AK47 Republic Reloaded, I fear that they are too tall, which also makes the sides too steep. I'll find out on Saturday when they'll have their debut at the Northern Piggies Day Out.

Best wishes,

I can only see them frm above but they look just fine Martin.
Bits of rock too.

martin :)

Indeed, impossible to judge height and steepness from a bird's eye view.

Nice work Martin. Look great from above!

Yes, they do look great from above, but as the issue concerns height and steepness, that cannot be judged very well from the aerial shot.

I'm not convinced that height and steepness are that relevant. If figures can't stand on the slopes then so what? It then becomes absolutely clear if a figure is on the higher ground or not. Height is purely for aesthetic purposes. The steeper the slope the easier it is to see the hill's footprint. Most wargames terrains are "maps" to some extent and a wargames hill just outlines an area of higher ground. Vertical slopes are not always cliffs! "Realistically" the whole tabletop's area should rise and fall as was the intention with sandtables but for wargames moves and rules it is often easier to have a yes/no hill.
