A greta day. Thanks to Richard for the first game. His Allies against my Japanese. We got the rules wrong on the knee mortars which contributed to the size of the Japanese win. Richard's truly appalling dice rolls helped the Japanese too. Second game against Miles' Indians saw another Japanese win but a much closer result. Two good games against two great opponents. The jungle rules seemed to work out well.

What time are we meeting up for Monday's jungle trek, please?
The Entoyment website says they open at 10am, but I think we normally start before then.  Have they changed their hours?

Yes the timings are odd.
I will get there for 9am and we can get in the side entrance and start gaming.

4 very good games.
My Indian/British (8th) army. I used 3 infantry platoons without PIATs, as the points saved allowed me to field 4 Vickers and PC with 2 infantry bases. I swooped out 2 rifle bases for 2 SMG bases, to add to their close in Fire power. As the furthest I fired was across 3 squares in either game ? So this wads close in game ?
All my units we're Veterans.
This helped in  some of the saves, I did sometimes forget the re roll in the Assault dice ! But John profited in that he beat me twice without a kill against him. But that was our lack of knowledge, rather than anything else. But I made up for it a turn or two later as one of those squares got peppered from another with 6 6s being rolled from 12 dice. Horses for courses....
The extra SMGs did seem to even up the assaults etc. But on Wednesday I will drop these to see if it does really help or not !
Must admit I had a good run of luck with Residual Rolls on asset dice scoring 3 successful single 6s and getting HE. But that's exceptional luck more than anything else. But it did help me prolong my first game, and gain me a few extra victory points, as it helped me wiped out a newly deployed Platoon. With a couple of well placed HE strikes !
But 4 very good games.
Thanks to those that were there for the Saturday re introduction of PBI.
