Mongols v Early imperial Romans

Romans attacking.
Plenty of fights.
Mongols won some fights and swept away a couple of Roman armoured units.
The Roman armour made them pretty impervious to shooting.
The Roman bolt engine  did not hit anything.

Overall ending = the Mongols massacred the Romans.

Mongol levy infantry held the hills and right flank,
Mongol cavalry advanced in the centre and left flank and rode down any Romans that ventured forward.

Mike's plan was to defend.
Far too clever.
Better to just march off into the distance with horns blowing?
You might get surrounded and chopped to bits, but surely the glory is the sole consideration.

The armour gives Romans a good chance of being around for multiple fights.

I have added middle period Imperial Romans.
These can have unarmoured foot which will allow more units to be bought.
