Hi all

Just about finished the Altarians. This is the starter fleet from Kallistra £14.50.   I quite like them myself. Largest ship is about 2" x 1.5".

Looked at a few different rulesets so far.

Full Thrust (Ground Zero Games) - Very interesting movement rules with thrust as the main mechanic. Makes turning hard. Makes slowing down even harder as you have to turn your ship around to do it.

Space Dreadnought 3000 (Kallistra) - Not really a ship combat game but has some interesting concepts.

Warfleets FTL (OnePageRules) - Quick, simple and looks fun. Not yet played it out but this seems the likely one I will use.

Forgot to add.  Full Thrust and Warfleets FTL are free to download. SD3000 is £5.00

PP rules are for the Figters not the main ships.
Ground Zero are the best rules to use.

I did have a couple of games using the GZ rules and they are fun. Wanted to try a range first before settling on one set. Same for the PP rules.

Done at last. The Altairans

The Talliscans

In each case this comprises the basic starter set, 1 Carrier and 2 packs of fighters. Total cost per side £25.95.

Very nice Derek.

What game is it for?

Nice job on the painting, Derek - I like the colour schemes.

And that's a great price for the two forces!

Havent settled on which rules to stay with. I do like Full thrust and looks the likely one. Another contender is the set from One page Rules. Don't like the Spaceforce 3000 from Kallistra at all but they have some great models.  Largest is about 50x 80mm.

Full thrust is one of the best out there.
