I've just recieved the USS Milwaukee and CSS Macon from Syborg 3D. See my other post in General Discussion for pictures.

Here are there relevant details for Hammerin Iron.

USS MILWAUKEE

IRONCLAD (Milwaukee) class
Hit Points: 28 (9)
Ram: No
Speed: Fast
Draught: Shallow
Guns: 4H in two rotating turrets.
Points Cost:1620pts

There is quite a bit of information on the monitor style Milwaukee class ships. There were four in all, the others being the Chickasaw, the Kickapoo and the Winnebago. She is typical of the large twin turreted river monitors that the USA developed towards the end of the war. All of the Milwaukee class ships saw service in the Western Gulf Blockading Squadron.

CSS MACON

WOODEN ship
Hi Points: 15 (5)
Speed: Fast
Draught: Shallow
Guns: Front - 1M(p)
         Side - 4L
         Aft - 1M(p)
Points Cost: 540pts

I was unable to find the displacement for the Macon, so have estimated based on similar ships, putting it at 200 tonnes. These gun ships seem to have been between 100-300 tonnes, so have gone for the the middle range and paid the points accordingly. Although relatively well armed for a small ship, she is made of wood and therefore receives no deflection rolls so is pretty vulnerable. She'll need to use her speed to get her out of trouble. Techincally, the Macon wasn't in service until 1864 and surrendered a year later, but an unusual looking little ship that I'm looking forward to using.
