Five photos I took of the Battle of Shiloh, put on at the Bash Day, using figures from the Peter Pig Hammerin Iron range. The Bash Day took place at Wolvercote Village Hall, Oxford on February 18th and featured a number of battles using Chris Pringles' Bloody Big Battles rules. The Hammerin Iron range really lends itself to the BBB ACW scenarios. This one was 4'x2'6", although most are 6'x4'.

great looking game great to see some many well finished PP figures.

The terrain looks good especially for the scale of the figures. Were the ships providing artillery fire?

Did Chris P come and play as well?

Chris Pringle helped organise the day and was in attendance running two scenarios from the 1848 Hungarian Revolution using 10mm figures. Previously I have run BBB ACW scenarios using 15mm figures, including PP. However, the 30mm x 20mm bases have 80 3mm figures but only 3 15mm figures. And yes, the Tyler would have fired on the Confederates if they had reached within 3" of the edge of the woods, but they never did. I would like to alter the scenario slightly by allowing the guns to blind fire their maximum range, but then have to score an eleven of twelve on 2D6 to see if any enemy troops were in the vicinity before calculating casualties. In my reading of Shiloh it is evident that the Tyler and Lexington both did this causing some consternation among the advancing Confederates. I am intending to run this scenario again at the Liverpool club, and then follow it up with the Champion Hill scenario.
