Big Mike and martin travelled to Christchurch (somewhere east of Maiden castle). Colin and Miles played the bad guys.
Two games, both early  war.

Two great games.
Done within the hours 9am to 4pm.

Game 1: British Were put into the attack against the Italians as they wanted to set up their deadly Anti tank guns. But the Italians valiantly lost after the British nearly took all 3 objectives, but had to do with just taking 2. The British had Rolls Royce and Morris A/cars with 2 platoons in Lorries, with the support platoon and another platoon left to walk in.
Game 2: British had to go into  defence against the DAK. The British had traded their A/Cars for a couple of Cruiser tanks and brought mortars up instead of MMG platoon. After a very dodgy defence with a small Section of the LMG's holding off a whole DAK platoon on one objective that in the end no one owned. For a draw/slight win by the DAK.
Two very good games. Learned a lot about what and where the new rules are wanting to go and be achieved. Still a lot of work yet....
Thank you Gentlemen for coming over, a nice surprise at the pub when we found out it was BOGOF Thursday on the Burgers too.

Those were good games Miles.
There were some wild D6 rolls too.
In particular Miles platoon on his right flank that had all the bad luck available.
Also my right hand DAK platoon who rushed up to the objective(7AP) and just looked at it for the rest of the game.

Nice to see trucks and armoured cars being used - I know that Miles is making a special effort on these for PBI 2020.

I ve tried using A/Cars before, but everyone was always loading up with Tiger tanks and Panther tanks, so I gave up, and came back with, Captured Panther tanks and Churchill crocodiles and everyone moaning I was going OTT, LoL
So I am going back to A/Cars in the Desert and into the Tunisian and Italian campaigns with A/Cars through that time period, must get my (Bren) carriers done too !
I ve got 2 Rolls Royce and 2 Morris A/cars done so far and my Humbers and Daimlers are on the way, with Staghounds and hopefully Boarhounds to be made.
I found out that they use to use 2 Rolls Royce's with one Morris so that's how I ve been playing them and as MMG armed rather than Boys  A/T gun, as the Bren doesn't count ? Even though it's a 2 man turret ?
