Hammerin' Iron first came out in 1992.
That is 30 years ago.
Marvellous.

Wow.
One of my favourite games.
Got a game lined up in a few weeks to introduce some new people (and reacquaint some previous players) with its delights.

A fantastic game system, I am taking the game to the Wessex Wyverns at West Moors Monday evening. As I am on holiday next week.

My brother bought it for my ? birthday shortly after it appeared, complete with painted ships, small fort, hexes for movement and a very nice binder. I have just ordered some more ships (Some time ago I had to re-order the small fort again as it was the only item I ever had stolen in the 28 years I was a club member).

What a lovely brother you must have

These days we play it on a Mat with Hexes printed on to it.
It is a great game.
I did enjoy building a load of new ships over December into January, be even better once I properly painted them all as well..

Went to Wessex Wyverns club in West Moors and we played a game and said Happy Birthday.
Unfortunately the Confederates lost but not without a hard slog and fight.

A combination of PP ships, some straight from the mould with one or two modifications and add ons thru to fully scratch built ships. But always with PP pack 13 "boats on Davits".
