Very interesting programme about the Hittites.

The most interesting bit was that the Hittites sent a lot of complaints to the Egyptians. The complaints were about the Egyptian depiction of their great victory at Kadesh which the Hittites claimed was a draw.

Ah well, that's the Hittites' fault then. They should have brought their lawyers along in the first place, and got it all sorted out on the day.

A further interesting thought from the programme.
Obviously conjecture, but the presenters seemed to have thought it through.

The Hittites  de-centralised their empire and the de -centralised bits became too de- centralised.
