Square Bashing from 1997 edition to now

I actually read my FB old version from 1997 (it is written on it) and I'm asking me if there are lot of changes in the rules since this time. Could anybody tell me if it is ?

The edition you have sounds like first edition. There are only 2 editions. The new edition came out in 2012 (??). they are very different and only share a few commonalities. The first edition had an RCW supplement . The new edition has an army book which includes a big variety of armies , such as boxers and boers.
