Just putting the final touches on Bens 18th PBI game for Sunday. 6X4 table top made ready for a Tiny War Games mat, some new buildings with some British armour (Churchill's and Crocodiles) may also have ready British Motorised Infantry unit as well. Germans will field SS armour and recon units. All being well will kick off around 10 and finish just before 4, ready for the football. If he is good will let him celebrate his victory with half a shandy!

Ben's birthday PBI day was a very good game running for about 4 hours. We had five objectives scattered across the 6x4 terrain, with a number of villages, barbed wire, road and a canal.

Bens SS defended, supported by a Panther, PZ 4, two Stugs and two 8 rads.

British infantry attacked, supported by two Churchill's, two crocodiles and two Sherman's.

The right flank was a tank fight, my Churchill's tried hard, but the Panther and the Stugs, took out one Churchill and a Sherman, the rest of the tank fight turned into a stalemate.

The British Infantry fought hard under Major Arthur Shelby MC, but suffered under sustained MG42 fire.

At the end of days battle, I would have to say it was a decisive victory for Ben, well deserved. I blame Samantha's dice throwing, and she in turn blamed mine. Ben stood tall and took the victory from us.

Ben had a great day, not the 18th we had planned but enjoyed by all the family.

We will attempt to post some pictures.
