Emphatz: you may wish to look at the "Workbench and Suggestions" sub-forum, for Martin's posts on what he's working on [we're eagerly awaiting Vietnam firebase scenery in the short-term; various WW1 figures have been popping up, and more Vietnam figures have been indicated... ].

Yeah, I'm talking about complete new ranges not really add ons, but I have been keeping an eye out on that area, in fact, i have contributed by making a few suggestions as well, all good.

Nothing new that i am aware of....of course that may change at any time. Martin is going through some of the older rule sets and updating them so we have Spanish Civil War xoming towards the end of the year.

I've always thought that the Mexican American war or War of 1812 might be good with the RFCM treatment  but I'm not holding my breath 😀

Could probably come up with a set of rules for Mexican-American by adapting Civil War Battles. Most extensive 15mm  figure range is currently with TSS (former FK15 - so showing its age a bit).

Hello
I am not planing nay new ranges at the moment due to lack of time.  I have some great ideas but need to press on with what I think is needed??

thanks

I think you have enough on your plate already Martin. I have figures for and play 13 periods as it is. Not much room for anything new at the moment in my play time. Of course I could always make room in due course  but I'm happy for now.

Not so much for completely new ranges (which I'm sure take a lot of time to research, sculpt and market, and which Martin must be personally interested in to commit his time to) but regarding new packs for existing ranges:

How useful would it be if, when adding suggestions to the workbench page, we gave some commitment to the number of packs we'd buy were Martin to do them? A bit like the old Eureka Miniatures '100 Club', it would help him prioritise stuff that would be commercially successful. IIRC it was a similar approach that led to the introduction of Highlanders to the PITS range, for example.

I have no clue how many packs of one code need to be sold before it starts to turn a profit - I'm sure many packs, and even ranges, are subsidised by sales of the WW2 range, so anything that helps a new pack reach that point has got to be a good thing!

I'll wait to see the reaction before I tell you how many Arab Revolt packs I'll commit to - your existing Tuareg Camelry re-armed for 1880-1920 would look the business!
