Gaming Days at Entoyment and other places.

So talking to some people, having Gamedays at Entoyment and other places might be in order to promote our hobby and our favourite rules and figures. But also show that other figures and systems can work with ours ?
I am hosting CWB this weekend, last month PBI ! December another PBI day, including Tank only? As it might appeal to the FoW players ? Sean is talking about a ROF day next March time ? POE and Western Days ?
These are only thoughts we have said out loud ? Any comments ?

Miles its great that you running these small events at Entoyment are becoming successful in promoting the RCFM rule sets.

Also it is getting a day playing two or three games using the same rule set enabling the players to get into the rules and play them as written!!

Its not just me, Martin is running a day in December, and I know Sean is organising one in March. I just want people to start thinking about it, as there is a wealth of us out there who can help in doing these events. Myself, Big Mike, Les, Martin and Stewart to name a few.
Lets play these rules, and get them out there to the Wargamming world and play them as intended.

After talking to Peter at Entoyment and a couple others who organize things. As next yesr the 75th Anniversery of 1944.
Entoyment have taken on my origanal idea ofan event for Operation Market Garden in September.
Also Looking at doing an event for Overlord in June.
So i have volenteered RFCM to particapate in both in one way or another. We wont properly find out the full details until after Beachhead in Febuary.
But i have been asked to get on with organising Hells Highway as i was orginally going to do. I believe there will be other aspects of the operation up for grabs at the moment. But i know Oosterbeek is being done in 20mm.
Now Stewart, Colin, Mike and myself have 2 beach landings in place, wether there will be any inland battles for Overlord ? I dont know as yet ?

I think we can look forwards to more game days at Entoyment, whether that be organised ones around significant anniversaries or more ad hoc ones just for the sake of getting together to play more.

As my friends on the south cost know, I am always happy to travel south to play, work permitting. In the 10+ years I reckon I have travelled over 12,000 miles. That nearly gets me to New Zealand from where I live!

Happy to be invovled as I was there at the initial thinking stage but real life kicked me in the rear. But, if I can help with planning, building, painting, writing - let me know.

It would be a shame if we couldn't do Oosterbeek and Arnhem itself with a scaled down push along Hell's highway BUT i am happy to go with what the majority think is achievable.

There is a possiblity to do Arnhem by the bridge itself. But this would be do e on the Friday of tbe weekend. As Peter is talking about the event being over the 3 days.
