I've never been to SELWG. It's 173 miles and 3 hours 40 minutes by car. Train might be my preferred mode of transport if I decide to go. costings are as follows:

Train - ticket looks to be around £60. But there is no early train meaning I'd have to travel down on the Saturday and stay in a Travellodge at a cost of around £80.

Car - Fuel currently looks to be around £45. But to do it in one day amounts to over 7 hours of driving with no delays which there would sure to be in and aorund London. So probably closer to 8 or 9 hours of driving. Not an option for a one day show so would need to be an overnight stay so as above - £80.

So...

train - £140
car - £125 (plus wear and tear on my car and wear and tear on me!)

OR....spend that on Piggie figures for a new project from the comfort of my armchair and await the next show....?

Tough choice, Sean.

You could also factor in that you could be investing that travel time in actually painting some of the figures you'd bought with your show savings. Sounds like a no-brainer.

Yes I would be inclined to agree Simon, Sean should just stay at home and get his games ready for Stewart's' piggy games weekend in late November.

As it stands I'm unlikely to make the weekender...though that could change dependant on shift rotas. I will be most upset as it is indeed the best Wargaming weekend of the year.
