Matt and i had a good game. No joiners, but there we go.
Cavalry defending and plains Indians attacking. Indians and cavalry both mainly mounted. Indians had two units of veteran foot.These groups assaulted the defence piece but had a hard time of it, due to defenders getting building and defence bonuses in fights.   Indians used their wolf move a few times to effect. The Indians extended the game to 11 turns, Finally breaking into the defences with a mutually bloody fight that left 1 base of Indians still standing. A big pile of wounded underneath him. He had the liability but at 1 base he could not claim the points  for it! The cavalry won by killing many more Indians and enhancing the exits, both of the exits being achieved.   40 to 24 points. In addition the cavalry were pretty bullet proof!!
A good game in terms of table usage. Lasted about two hours ( experienced players)

Tried a hit and run game unfortunately the dice gods were not with me 😣
Martin had a lot of wounded but none would succumb!
