Thought everyone here might find the battle interesting. Boyd's tavern is a real place that sits in Palmyra county on the way to Charlottesville.  You are all aware of how to play the rules.  If I made any errors pleases let me know.

Wonderful looking game!

You're quite right they differ quite a bit to later Piggie rules. The mechanics used in Washingtons Army are used in their ACW and Samurai rules too. I think they  were first used in the original Bloody Barons, but it's a long time ago now!

We had a lovely playtest day at a pub in West Coker, Dorset where Martin bought us all dinner which was lovely.

They are one of my favourite rule sets (along with Civil War Battles). One point...it's only battalion (or light galloper guns) that fire in the opponents phase. Field artillery shoots in the owners turn or as opportunity  fire in the opponents turn.
