I've got myself very confused. I'm sure the great and good here will help. This is all with reference to MEDIUM mortars.

If one mortar fires, the player chooses a square to hit. Roll for deviation. If it lands, then roll 3D6  per base in the target square?

If the mortar fires twice, it hits the same square, rolling for deviation of both shots? Then roll 6D6 for all target bases?

If the unit has 2 mortars in the square, the second mortar CANT hit the same square? It MUST target a square to the left or right or the 1st square targeted?

If a 3rd mortar in the unit fires, it hits another adjoining square, left or right of the first 2 squares hit?

If a unit is spread over two squares, only ONE square can shoot its mortars?

The PC can spot for the unit. Can it move several squares away and still spot, or does he have to stay in proximity? (Appreciate if outside of proximity the AP roll might have to be re-rolled if the opponent asks...)

So in summary...

1 marker placed in a square per shot.
A unit can't target the same square with all of its mortars.

Each shot causes 3D6 hits on the square. Maximum of 6D6 if two shots land in the square.

Am I close?

Just about right Sean

1. Place all shots in pairs.A single can be placed at either end.
2. The squares must form a continuous row.
3. Then do all the deviations
4. Then roll 3D6 per base.
