Dennis defending with hoplites army.
Weymouth mike attacking with Sarmatians.

The Sarmatians started the game by punching the hoplites back. Won two fights.
The Greeks lost very few in pursuit, so were strong enough to hold the line.
This wore down the Sarmatians and then the Greeks had two good fights and reduced the Sarmatian hitting power.
With morale and pursuit the Sarmatians were  beaten.

The rules worked very well indeed (I think).
The game looked lovely too.
Game took just over 2 hours.

Sounds a good to and fro scrap, although initially I read it as Samaritans, and wondered if they would be similar to the Apocrypha's Jewish army. Might make an interesting little army. Alternatively, they might just be listening to the Greeks' problems.
