I see that the August WI issue is focused on the Vietnam War.

Could anyone who has a chance to look at it please post here on whether there's any good content?

Thanks,

Simon

It's based on that BattleGroup the ones that brought out Kursk, Trobuk battle of France etc. They have now brought out Vietnam.
Like I said I ve only read bits of it so far. So they have "themed" the main magazine around Vietnam, with other bits.

Must the first set of decent Vietnam rules ever if they've dedicated an issue to it 🙄

Maybe someone should tell them there is an excellent and innovative set out already that lots of people enjoy.

Its not a bad read and covers some interest Vietnam points and some good eye candy from games. There are some good products reviews especially Sarissa Precisions new World War Europe 15mm buildings, which look nice. A few fantasy games, and an ancients article on a 12/15mm non P/P figures, linking them to dioramas.
Back to the nam! An eight page article on Tunnel Rats linked to a game. Saigon 68, seven page article on a game that did the circuit last year, I remember seeing it at Newbury. The wargame that goes wrong five pages on a nam game.Vehicles of Vietnam part 1 seven pages on transporting troops in 15mm. Then a six page article on Vietnam, Bolt action style.

Was it worth 5.99, yes just about.
