'Heavy weapons' shooting as small arms.

This may already be covered  but can mortar/MG/RCL bases shoot as if they are rifles if they don't use their main weapon in a turn or are they restricted to just shooting their main weapon?

Do you mean in the new rules Sean? The last mortar bullet on page 36 (version R) says mortars do not use rifle shooting.

Good question Sean.

I have restricted every weapon to just that main weapon.
I want players to gain advantage by using weapons correctly.
I also want players to suffer when they have used the wrong weapon in the wrong circumstance.
Mortars will be the main category affected by the above.
I suspect there will also be calls for tanks to be good at everything too.
Each weapon will intentionally have good and bad aspects.
It will be part of players having a plan.
