There will be three packs of Greek hoplites and a command pack.
The reason they are delayed is that I need to make a  pack with cast on vertical spears.
The reasoning is that most games can stick a shield onto a figure with an already  cast on spear but might be more challenged by sticking on a  spear and a shield.
I hope to have them out by the end of this week and see how it goes.  The moulds are all done.

I'll get a few I think. I need to buy myself a broom head first though.

Does this mean the open hand is not going to be an option, Martin? Or 'with or without cast spear' will be a choice?

(I appreciate some don't like the work of adding bits, but in general I replace all cast spears by drilling hands. Personally, I've had no problems with eg Xyston with separate shields and spears, and a cast spear is just another hand to be drilled 😁).

All three initial packs  will have open hands. Verticla, horizontal and 45'.

Hello Martin

The additional pack will be the open handed vertical hoplite re-made with an added spear is to help players who find sticking on spears tricky.

Without the cast on spear option many players will find it all a bit daunting and may avoid PP?

This is why we are waiting for that cast on option before launching.

Gosh - I don't envy all these factors you have to deal with, Martin!

Having seen the photos, the figures look to be very nicely modeled and it seems to me would benefit from some head packs, such as Pilos helmet, Corinthian helmet, Attic helmet, Boeotian helmet and Thracian helmet. It would give a Greek army a really individual look, or a specific city state army, such as later Spartans in the Pilos helmet.
