I have set out V3 SOL.
It is coming along nicely (I reckon).

Thanks Martin. I look forward to having a little play as an interlude to Spanish fraticide on Saturday.

I have enjoyed it so far.
There needs to be some tactics in order to make it game with skill.
I am still trying to find what tactics work.

Stewart tens to go with two skilled shooters.
I tend to go with three normal shooters.

Short range is worth achieving for the extra D6.
I have tried using a lot of aiming with mixed results.

Dennis just shot a lot of men with head shots on 5,6.

SCW Saturday players can bring 3  x 15mm figures if they wish to use their own chaps(pun).

We do like a good pun, Martin.

You will spur ;) me to action to bring along my own little men.

Smiley Miley 66

I will be intrigued to see how it works ?
I ve got a load of cowboys yet to paint up, and in varying scales ?
Miles

It is nice and easy Miles.
You need 3 figures maximum.
They are just "figures"(meeples) and need not have any particular stance or weapon.

My initial tactical thoughts are

1.Take time to aim.
2. Head shots are a good risk if the target has no wounds at all. Even one wound is worth adding to rather than a heed shot risk?
3. Cover is useful but can be limiting  once morale comes int the game. This is because cover is often near the base edge.

The rules are about 52% done at this point?

Had a dabble of games with John and Simon in Southampton.
Seemed to tick along OK.

I think it worked very well, Martin.

Even if there wasn't much skill involved (I'm not sure on that point yet, but if Stewart is winning a lot then there probably is!), it felt very engaging with lots of inter-player "friction". Which is really what we're looking for from a gamette?
