With play testing for PBI well underway I am getting out various armies etc.

We needed 2 panthers for  game(s) this week.

I had two models  done for an advert and trade stand display  from about 15+ years ago.
They are just simple yellow and ink colouring.

I had glued the turrets in place, for display purposes.

I  levered the turrets off with a screwdriver. This is because I like to point the gun at the target and say "phmmffmp".

With a quick paint touch up, putty touch up (to smooth out my screwdriver gouges) and some basing and varnish they are now ready for some battles.

At 44 points each they are expensive but a  really deadly cat.
The downside is that they are a bit wasted if the opponent only has infantry, which is appropriate (tough luck).

Panthers are great looking with their slopes and racing profile.
Of course the commanders are proudly standing up in their commander's hatch.

It is good to re-furbish not used kit.

PS
Update
They shot up my single Sherman veteran firefly tank.
Then I killed a Panther with an AT hunter. Bang! Dead tank! Lucky shot.

It is nice when old toys get a new lease of life.

There's maybe scope for a pink one of these cats at a show sometime?

I could even think of a good name for it and its partner :)

Pictures paint a thousand words Martin!

The Panther is my favourite tank. Such a good looking design.

I remember seeing this all those years ago. A true campaign veteran!

It does look very special in the Zimmerit finish. And I don't yet have any Panthers...

Good refurbishment for the model Martin.

There was that guy in Germany who kept a fully-operational Panther in his barn for years, until it fairly recently got discovered and confiscated...
