Hi all,

Played my first couple of games recently and very good they were too. Fairly typically I decided to cover all the bases so have constructed my Firebase, purchased my Mountain Tribe forces and I'm half way through to completing my crashed Huey for the Aircrew rescue scenario. After reading through the Downed Aircrew Rescue scenario section of the rules I have a couple of queries which I hope you can help me with.

1. As the game starts at 24 when does the off table White star unit arrive?
I have assumed on turn 16 with the reasoning that in the normal game it arrives on turn 20 which is 1/3rd of the game over (starts on turn 30) so with 1/3rd of the game over with 24 turns that means turn 16.

2. Can normal US casualties be CASEVACED? The aircrew cannot as stated on page 101 but doesn't say infantry casualties cannot. I have assumed they cannot (copters not available etc) as it doesn't seem right that some can (infantry) and some cannot (aircrew)

Thanks in advance and another great set of rules!

Regards
Barry

Hello Barry

Sorry I messed this. It must have got washed along in a burst of chat on some other topic.

I know several members here played that scenario at the WWW a couple of weeks ago.
Anyone help out with these issues?

Failing that I will sit down and get that sorted.

Barry,

As the "organiser" (I use the term loosely) of said event, I interpreted (and we played) the rules (that I may have helped come up with in the first place) as being exactly as per the standard rules unless expressly stated otherwise, which I think is actually the gist of what's written.

So:
 - second White Star unit arrives on turn 20, as per the main rules
 - White Star casevac can be used
