Need help on WotR army CK to BB

Well, I for one gave up on individual bases and went for single base units with a mini-die marker at the rear. A D6 works for the first three half bases, after which the unit is removed, as a single base unit is unable to remain on the field and is removed.

There is my lack of BB experience. I didn't realise you could split the bases up like that ?
John, can I suggest after Beachhead, us meeting up and going through my collection of WotR figures and see what we can do with them and maybe what else I might have to buy to make a slightly better force etc for each game ?
